Scented objects holding a deconstructed "perfume" composition of Norwegian natural oils
Aiming to create a language and rituals for scent experiences in our lives, Atelier Kaja Dahl explore the function and aesthetics of scent objects in the sculptural collection Norwegian Notes. With the functional aspect of displaying scents in the context of home and retail.
First displayed as part of the exhibition "Everything is Connected"
In the exhibition the visitors could smell four different ingredients
The hanging piece Gren contained Norwegian pine
The blue wax and wood shape Rot was infused with Fjellkvann root.
The two table pieces Stilk held a juniper berry mix and a tomato leaf scent
Together the pieces composed a perfume based on Norwegian memories and natural landscape.
